Charlie Horder retiring from Ace Ohlsson

Tuesday 20 June 2023

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Charlie Horder will be retiring from Ace Ohlsson effective 14 July.

Charlie has made the decision to call time on his career and is excited for the next stage in life and spending more time with his family.

Charlie has been an integral part of the Ace Ohlsson 85 year journey, starting with the company in 1995 as General Manager, leading the business under Stuart Merchant for 22 years and  then the last 6 years under Elders ownership. Under Charlie’s stewardship the business has grown from one store at the Sydney markets to 7 branches across NSW and the integration of Turfcare Australia into the Ace network. Elders acquired Ace Ohlsson in May 2017 and Charlie managed a successful transition of the business to Elders ownership.

Our thanks go out to Charlie for his dedication to the business, his clients and the industry as a whole. Charlie leaves the business in great shape, and will hand the leadership of the business across to Gus Greenwood who will continue as Area Manager for the whole Ace business.

Please join us all at Ace Ohlsson in congratulating Charlie on a wonderful career.

Our aim is to help growers succeed in their industry, no matter the size.
